Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain advanced irrigation systems, including automated control units and sprinkler heads, to ensure efficient water distribution across the course.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation equipment and system components, diagnosing issues through electrical diagnostics and system troubleshooting techniques.
- Lead new irrigation system installation projects from excavation to final testing, utilizing hand tools, power tools, excavators, and construction experience to execute precise work.
- Perform soil science assessments and landscape maintenance tasks to support healthy turf growth and sustainable landscaping practices.
- Coordinate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation needs with overall course maintenance plans, including lawn care and landscape upkeep.
- Respond promptly to irrigation system repair projects, minimizing downtime and ensuring water efficiency during all weather conditions.
- Maintain detailed records of system performance, repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance activities for ongoing irrigation management.
Experience
- Proven experience working with irrigation systems, including installation projects, maintenance routines, repairs, and system troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical diagnostics skills to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Hands-on experience with excavation equipment such as excavators and familiarity with construction processes related to irrigation system installation.
- Knowledge of landscaping principles, horticulture practices, soil science, and lawn care techniques relevant to golf course environments.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently in outdoor settings.
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or turf management is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and stakeholders.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
