Bright Side Counseling is looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team.
Our receptionists are often the first people clients speak with, so this role is an important part of helping clients feel welcomed, supported, and cared for from the very beginning. The right person for this position will be organized, empathetic, professional, and comfortable balancing phone calls, scheduling, client questions, and front desk responsibilities.
Previous healthcare or reception experience is helpful but not required. We are happy to provide on-the-job training for someone who is a good fit for our team and our values.
About the Role
The Receptionist helps keep the office running smoothly and helps create a warm, calm, and welcoming environment for clients, clinicians, and staff. This position includes front desk duties, scheduling support, client communication, and general office tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct questions to the appropriate staff member.
- Help clients with scheduling, appointment questions, cancellations, and general inquiries.
- Support the intake process for new clients, including collecting information and helping verify insurance and billing details.
- Assist with scheduling clients based on clinician availability and client needs.
- Communicate with clinicians and administrative staff to help ensure smooth client care.
- Maintain accurate client information while following privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Help keep the waiting area clean, comfortable, and welcoming.
- Assist with mail, filing, data entry, office supplies, and other general administrative tasks.
- Help maintain a calm, organized, and supportive office environment.
