About the Medical Assistant Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other clinical team members to support safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Greeting and preparing patients for examinations.
· Obtaining and documenting vital signs and medical histories.
· Administering medications and injections as directed by a provider.
· Assisting providers during examinations and procedures.
· Preparing, cleaning, stocking, and maintaining examination rooms.
· Supporting efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
· Responding to patient questions and concerns professionally and empathetically.
· Scheduling appointments and completing basic administrative duties as needed.
· Maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
· Protecting patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA requirements.
· Checking equipment and promptly reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
· Assisting other team members and departments when needed.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Registered Medical Assistant certification preferred, or equivalent certification/education.
· Previous medical office or clinical experience preferred.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain organized in a busy clinical environment.
· Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures.
· Experience with electronic health record systems preferred.
· Basic computer proficiency.
· Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
· Willingness to support multiple clinic locations when operationally necessary.
