Overview
FULL TIME nights and weekends 12 hr shifts 3-4 shifts per week
Direct support personnel for a group home located in Tallahassee FL, working with individuals with developmental disabilities personnel. Willing to work 2-4 consecutive days per week & off 2-4 consecutive days each week as a Live in care giver. Looking for a dependable and punctual individual, that has patients, with excellent work ethics that has previous experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities and assisting with daily living activities. Duties include:
-Meal Prep
-Medication Administration (with validation)
-Assistance with Daily living skills
-Providing safe and Caring Environment
-Daily Cleaning and upkeep of Home

Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide personal care and support for individuals with disabilities, including those with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
- Monitor and document client health status, including vital signs and any changes in behavior or condition.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.
- Assist with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
- Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and independence.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe transfers when necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Qualifications
- Experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred, particularly in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs.
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and assessment of client needs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and team members.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients as needed.
