Hiring: Plumbing Estimator (Full-Time / On-Site or Remote Hybrid)
Priority Plumbing Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plumbing Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates for commercial, residential, and industrial plumbing projects.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine plumbing scope of work
- Prepare detailed material and labor estimates for large-scale projects and everyday service jobs
- Assist in expanding and refining our internal pricing system and cost database
- Evaluate plan specs to select correct materials, fixture schedules, pipe sizing, and submittal requirements
- Generate and organize estimate proposals and cost breakdowns independently with minimal supervision
- Work collaboratively with management for budgeting, timelines, and scheduling needs
Requirements
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for estimate creation, cost tracking, and proposal formatting
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and plumbing blueprints
- Familiarity with identifying plumbing scopes, fixture schedules, and specification sheets
- Experience producing take-offs and job cost breakdowns
- Strong attention to detail and ability to self-perform estimates without guidance
- Plumbing field experience is a plus but not required
Highly Preferred
- Experience with job cost and bid book platforms
- Experience communicating with GCs, inspectors, architects, and vendors
- Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements and commercial bid formats
