Cabinet Shop Assistant Builder | Part-Time | Baldwin Park, CA
Since 1947, B&J Custom Cabinets has been designing, building, and installing custom cabinetry throughout Southern California. We're a small, family-owned shop built on craftsmanship, integrity, and quality — and we're growing.
We're looking for a dependable, hardworking team member to join our shop. No cabinet experience required. If you have a background in construction, woodworking, carpentry, remodeling, furniture assembly, or just genuinely enjoy working with your hands, we'd like to talk with you.
This position may start part-time and has the potential to grow into a full-time role depending on the candidate and workload.
Responsibilities
- Cabinet assembly and edge banding
- Sanding and finishing preparation
- Hardware installation
- Material handling and shop organization
- Loading and jobsite deliveries as needed
- Assisting with custom fabrication projects
Qualifications
- Experience with basic construction, woodworking, or carpentry tools (cordless drills, nail guns, measuring tools)
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player
- Ability to lift materials and work safely in a shop environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Skills can be taught. We're ultimately looking for someone with good character, a strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in the craft.
