Sales Support Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to enable the sales team and ensure a smooth customer experience from initial inquiry through order fulfillment. This role combines customer-facing support, technical coordination, and administrative excellence supporting sales efforts by preparing proposals and quotes, coordinating with engineering and production teams, and managing CRM data. Familiarity with Sales processes and technical tools such as AutoCAD and BIM is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities

Support the sales team by preparing accurate quotes, proposals, and sales documentation in response to customer inquiries.

Collaborate with engineering, design, and production teams to translate customer requirements into technical specifications using AutoCAD and BIM where applicable.

Manage CRM records, track opportunities, update sales pipelines, and generate regular reports for sales leadership.

Respond to customer requests for information, product configurations, lead times, and order status in a timely, professional manner.

Coordinate sample requests, pricing reviews, and contract paperwork; escalate pricing exceptions and complex proposals to managers.

Assist with product demonstrations and technical presentations for customers and prospects, including preparation of drawings, models, and presentation materials.

Monitor order entry and fulfillment processes to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery; liaise with logistics and production to resolve issues.

Gather and maintain market and competitive intelligence to help the sales team position offerings and prepare tailored proposals.

Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes, templates, and knowledge bases to increase efficiency and consistency.

Support sales forecasting by compiling historical data, maintaining pricing lists, and helping to produce regular pipeline and revenue reports.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

2+ years of experience in sales support, customer service, or a similar role preferably in AEC, manufacturing, or building products sectors.

Practical experience with AutoCAD and exposure to BIM workflows (Revit or similar) strongly preferred.

Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong customer service orientation.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Technical aptitude to understand product specifications and coordinate with engineering teams.

Proactive problem-solver who can work collaboratively across teams and escalate issues when needed.

Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites or trade shows as required.

Experience preparing commercial proposals, pricing sheets, and tender documentation is a plus.
