Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs to enhance patients' functional independence across diverse settings. Your expertise will support patients in achieving their goals through evidence-based practices and collaborative care planning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and discharge strategies for optimal patient outcomes.
- Work with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and other disabilities to support their developmental and functional needs.
- Document patient progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to medical documentation standards.
- Support early intervention programs and work with students with disabilities or special education needs to facilitate learning and development.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy practices.
- Experience assisting with ADLs and discharge planning across various healthcare environments.
- Skilled in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and disabilities.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation within electronic health records (EHR).
- Ability to manage case loads effectively through case management techniques.

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
