Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Endo & Oral Surgery Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support endodontist and oral surgeons in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient clinic operations, and maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, medical documentation, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with Dentrix, dental imaging, and IV certified is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to develop specialized skills within endodontics and oral surgery.
Responsibilities
- Assist endodontist and oral surgeon during surgical procedures, including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up supplies, and ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained.
- Take and record vital signs, medical history, and other patient information accurately using EMR systems such as Dentrix.
- Operate X-ray equipment and perform medical imaging procedures while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and providing pre- and post-operative instructions.
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized according to industry standards.
- Support the dental team with administrative duties such as documentation, and managing medical records.
- Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, and post-treatment care to promote understanding and compliance.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic or dental assisting role and experience in oral surgery is required.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic technique is essential.
- Candidates with experience in X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and 3D scanning systems are encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology including oral surgery and general dentistry.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining professionalism in a clinical setting.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
