Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to support two apartment communities. This position will work three days per week at one property and two days per week at another nearby property, assisting with maintenance operations, work orders, unit turns, and preventive maintenance.
The ideal candidate has experience in apartment maintenance, HVAC troubleshooting, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical work, and general maintenance. We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, customer-service oriented, and able to respond efficiently to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance work orders for occupied and vacant apartment homes in a timely manner
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, appliances, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues
- Prepare vacant units for new move-ins, including repairs, touch-up work, and inspections
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, water heaters, appliances, and building equipment
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, grounds, and maintenance shops
- Travel between two assigned apartment communities based on weekly schedule needs
- Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls as part of the on-call rotation
- Troubleshoot maintenance problems using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and housing standards
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred
- HVAC experience strongly preferred
- EPA Certification preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and carpentry
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing stairs, bending, and standing for extended periods
Preferred Skills
- Experience with apartment make-ready/turn processes
- Pool maintenance knowledge a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple communities
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Scheduled between two apartment communities:
- 3 days per week at one property
- 2 days per week at a second property
- On-call rotation may apply

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
