- Utilize manual I.D./O.D. grinder and/or Okamoto CNC grinder to process a variety of precision work-pieces in a job shop environment
- Must be able to read engineering drawings and work instructions. Many of the grinding jobs do not have engineering drawings to follow and must be able to pull information from the work instructions and tolerance charts provided
- Communicate with manager, supervisor and other departments to ensure steady workflow and proper condition of work-piece upon completion from grind department
- Make and use fixtures and setups to achieve manufacturing objectives
- Use measuring equipment and all available resources and observations to ensure functionally and visually defect free product. Must be able to regularly hold less than .0001" tolerances for diameters, circularity and runout.
- Maintain safe operations by following all internal and external safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain equipment through regularly documented preventive maintenance, manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned
- Some manual lathe and mill experience is desirable.
