Shift Lead Job Description
We are looking for a motivated, friendly, and dependable Shift Lead to support our bartender/barista team at a recreational facility. This role helps keep daily operations running smoothly, supports team members during service, and ensures guests have a positive, welcoming experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support bar staff during assigned shifts.
- Help open and close the venue, including setup, cleaning, stocking, and cash handling.
- Ensure excellent guest service and a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
- Train and guide team members on service standards, procedures, and daily expectations.
- Monitor workflow during busy periods and help team members stay organized and efficient.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety and alcohol service standards.
- Assist with taking orders, preparing beverages, and handling transactions as needed.
- Check IDs and follow all applicable alcohol service laws and company policies.
- Communicate with management about staffing, guest concerns, inventory needs, and operational issues.
- Assist management with menu builds, weekly orders and monthly inventory counts.
- Step in to help solve problems and keep service running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bartender, barista, or in a guest-facing service role.
- Leadership experience or the ability to confidently support and guide a team.
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- A friendly, upbeat, and professional attitude.
- Ability to stay calm and lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol in your area.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
