Join our retail team as a Cashier/Customer Service Associate at Champs Cleaners! In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face of our store, providing exceptional customer service, managing transactions accurately through our POS (Point of Sale) system, and ensuring the lobby is clean and inviting for our customers. We are currently looking for two part time employees, one to work from 2pm-7pm Monday-Wednesday, and one to work 2pm-7pm Thursday-Friday and 8am-3pm on Saturdays. Or one full time employee to work Monday-Friday and Saturday. This schedule is somewhat flexible, all you have to do is ask and we could potentially make some changes.
Responsibilities
- Operate the POS system efficiently to invoice clothes with accuracy
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and being able to ask questions when you don't know the answer
- Maximize sales by upselling services when possible
- Maintain store cleanliness standards
- Stock conveyors with clothes and organize inventory to ensure efficiency
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, basic math calculations, and balancing registers at shift end
- Use strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist customers with inquiries in a friendly manner
- Capable of thriving in an independent work environment
Experience
- Previous cashiering, retail sales or cleaners experience is preferred but not at all required; we value enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude
- Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising techniques, and cleaners operations will help you excel in this role but is not required
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for engaging customers effectively
- Ability to perform retail math confidently for cash handling and sales transactions (the POS will do math also)
- Experience in retail or upselling techniques will enhance your ability to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction
