Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment, enjoys working with both patients and their owners, and is eager to support our veterinarians in providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exam room flow, including preparing rooms and patients for appointments.
- Obtain and document accurate patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
- Assist with diagnostics, including blood collection and laboratory testing, urinalysis, cytology, radiographs, and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Provide attentive in-patient care, including monitoring hospitalized patients, administering medications and treatments, feeding, walking, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Assist veterinarians with medical and surgical procedures, including anesthesia and patient monitoring, based on training, experience, and skill level.
- Safely restrain and handle patients for examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, treatment areas, surgical areas, and exam rooms.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients regarding patient care and treatment instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow hospital protocols for patient safety, sanitation, controlled substances, and infection control.
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians and the rest of the veterinary support team to provide excellent patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary technician experience preferred.
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred, but candidates with relevant veterinary experience and a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Comfortable handling and restraining dogs and cats.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy clinical environment.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional approach to both animals and clients.
- Ability to remain calm and attentive in stressful or fast-paced situations.
- Willingness to learn and expand technical skills.

Experience with anesthesia, radiology, laboratory diagnostics, catheter placement, dentistry, surgery, or other advanced technician skills is a plus. Responsibilities will be tailored to the candidate’s experience and level of training.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
