Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within our facility, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all employees and products. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to perform various cleaning tasks efficiently and a good understanding for Good Manufacturing Practices and Machinery.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deep cleaning of equipment and facilities as deemed necessary by the sanitation manager
- Kettle fryer cleaning process, oil treatment process, oil testing, etc.
- Perform monthly cleaning protocols
- Report on the daily work, test results, and findings of your department
- Clean and sanitize production line operating equipment (packaging equipment, conveyors, pumps, etc.)
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisor
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of all areas within the facility, including production areas, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces.
- Utilize industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness in accordance with food safety standards, particularly in food production and processing areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, particularly in industrial or commercial settings.
- Familiarity with sanitation practices relevant to food production or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Prior sanitation knowledge preferred, showcasing an understanding of effective cleaning techniques.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to interact with coworkers and supervisors
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work continuously for 8 to 10 hour shifts
- Able to withstand high temperatures
- Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during cleaning tasks.
- Perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, bending, pulling, walking, climbing on ladders etc.
