Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms to ensure a pristine environment at all times.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Use janitorial equipment efficiently, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, mops, and scrubbers to deliver high-quality cleaning results.
- Conduct floor care activities such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing to uphold the hotel's appearance standards.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts, cleaning supplies, or furniture moving while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns with a friendly attitude, demonstrating excellent customer service skills in line with hospitality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles within the hospitality industry is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning equipment is essential.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling procedures and SDS documentation.
- Strong manual handling skills with the capacity for heavy lifting when necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members alike.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures a safe working environment for all staff.
- Previous experience managing housekeeping tasks or hotel housekeeping management is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $15.75 - $16.75 per hour
