Café Routier is looking for energetic, adaptable and experienced servers and bartenders!
Located in Westbrook, CT we believe we’ve been a successful restaurant on the shoreline for over 20 years providing an environment that we believe is professional and fun. Most of our staff has been with us as long as we have been here which we think speaks volumes to the way we run our business. Rarely do we look for new additions to our staff unless it provides a situation you that offers real income as wells as flexibility with your own personal schedule.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
- Ensure all food safety standards are maintained during food handling and service
- Process cash and card transactions accurately while managing cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including bar stations and dining spaces
- Assist with beverage recipe development to enhance menu offerings and guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy hours or special events such as banquets or catering functions
- Demonstrate knowledge of spirits, brewing processes, wine pairings, and mixology techniques to educate guests and upsell effectively
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a focus on fine dining or hospitality industry standards
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar orders simultaneously without compromising quality
- Skilled in beverage preparation including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, craft beer experience, and beverage recipe development
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
- Experience in bar management or catering enhances ability to coordinate large groups or events smoothly
- Basic math skills for retail math, cashiering, and accurate cash handling during shifts
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and food industry regulations to ensure compliance at all times

Pay: $6.38 - $8.23 per hour
