Duties
- Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles, including commercial trucks, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines.
- Load and unload merchandise with heavy lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety standards.
- Deliver products directly to customers’ locations, providing excellent customer service through clear communication and professional conduct.
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and client interactions for reporting purposes.
- Build strong customer relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience with every delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or retail store delivery is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of route driving, pricing strategies, and basic math for accurate transactions and measurements.
- Experience with automobile transportation and merchandising is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations governing commercial driving operations.
- Prior experience in military service or retail environments is advantageous due to organizational skills and discipline developed through those roles.
