Mid Valley Providers – Residential Services
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Mid Valley Providers is seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Residential Services Director to support our Residential Director and help oversee daily operations within our residential programs. This role is ideal for an individual with strong leadership skills, experience in adult residential care, and a passion for improving the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.
About the Role
The Assistant Residential Services Director plays a key role in ensuring high-quality care, compliance with regulations, and smooth operation across our residential homes. This position supports staff, oversees documentation, assists with hiring and training, and helps manage client services and facility needs.
Key Responsibilities
**Leadership & Support
- Indirectly supervise all residential employees in alignment with company policies and regulations.
- Train new management team members on required paperwork and deadlines.
- Assist residential homes without an assigned manager.
- Participate in management and staff meetings.
**Client & Program Support
- Attend ISP, Quarterly, and Semi-Annual meetings.
- Attend client medical appointments as needed.
- Conduct day program visits to review client progress.
- Assist with behaviors and report emergencies to the Residential Director/Officers.
**Administrative & Compliance Duties
- Review and distribute employee and management evaluations.
- Assist with timecard processing.
- Maintain and update client files.
- Review weekly progress notes and monthly cash resources.
- Complete monthly house checks and follow up with staff and leadership.
- Assist in establishing new residential consumer housing.
**Scheduling & Staffing
- Assist with schedule revisions, time-off requests, and call-ins.
- Fill shifts as needed.
- Conduct interviews for new staff.
**Documentation & Medication Oversight
- Monitor and audit client documentation, files, cash resources, and petty cash.
- Ensure accurate medication logging and adequate supplies.
- Order medications, check expiration dates, and oversee medication destruction.
**Emergency Response
- Respond to after-hours calls regarding medical and behavioral emergencies.
- Assist with contacting and visiting client homes during natural disasters or emergencies.
**Vehicle Fleet Management
- Maintain and coordinate repairs for residential vehicles with approval from Company Officers.
**All Other Duties As Assigned
**Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree and 18 months related experience OR 5 years' experience with at least 2 years in management.
- ARF Administrator’s Certificate preferred. (Will need to have completed within first 6 months)
- Valid CA Driver’s License.
- CPR & First Aid Certification.
- DOJ/FBI background clearance.
- Pre-employment physical and TB test.
- Familiarity with Title 17 & Title 22 regulations.
- Ability to drive company vehicles.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
