Serve as the clinical bridge between clients, doctors, and treatment teams by performing emergency triage, obtaining patient histories, communicating with families, assisting with diagnostics and treatments, educating clients, and ensuring every patient receives timely, compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities

Obtain thorough patient histories and complete all approval paperwork

Perform triage assessments and re-categorize triage levels as appropriate

Communicate updates to waiting clients over the phone

Assess patient stability and recognize when immediate intervention is required

Utilize EzyVet and Vet Radar systems and follow MVSES triage/discharge protocols

Obtain accurate vital signs, weights, blood pressures, and blood glucose readings

Perform in-house lab testing (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal,etc.)

Recognize signs of pain, respiratory distress, and abnormal ECG parameters

Obtain diagnostic radiographs using proper technique and safety protocols

Place peripheral IV catheters and administer SC, IM, and IV injections

Perform outpatient treatments and wound care prep

Dispense oral medications as directed

Complete efficient discharges, including medication education and instructions

Providing client education

Provide basic isolation patient care

Minimum two years of clinical veterinary experience.

Licensed Veterinary Technician preferred.

Emergency or specialty experience welcomed but not required.

Calm under pressure with outstanding communication skills.

Passion for learning, teamwork, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Schedules Available:
- 3p-1a; Sunday-Tuesday EO Saturday

3p-1a: Wednesday-Friday EO Saturday
- 1st Shift weekends

Shift Differentials:

Saturday & Sunday (6am–6pm): +$3/hr
-
6pm–12am: +$4/hr

12am–6am: +$5/hr
