Dental Laboratory Technician
Fabricates a wide range of prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and occlusal splints, and performs repairs, relines, and re-bases. Provides hands-on instruction and guidance to dental students in laboratory procedures, including tooth setup, implant abutments, and surgical guide fabrication, while supporting lab exercises and troubleshooting technical issues. Collaborates with educators and the broader dental team to maintain equipment, enhance learning experiences, and ensure high-quality patient care outcomes.
Education and Experience Required:
Graduate of an Accredited American Dental Association (ADA) Dental Technology program and one (1) year of dental laboratory experience or High School diploma/GED and three (3) years of dental laboratory experience.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Serve as a proficient technology expert in order to assist faculty and students.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate crown and bridge work
- Fabricate occlusal splints
- Fabricate dentures from impression to insert
- Complete prosthetic repairs, relines, and re-bases
- Assist students with set up of teeth, wax rims, final molds and fabrications in the lab. Provides these services as a lab technician.
- Show students how to engage implant abutments and fabricate surgical guide.
- Assist with dentures set ups and polishing.
- Collaborate with other technician educators to troubleshoot problems.
- Inspect equipment and request repairs or upgrades when necessary.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of laboratory exercises to be performed by dental students, residents and faculty.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
