Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Housekeeping Supervisor (1st Shift Weekends), where you'll lead and inspire a dedicated team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and comfort for our guests. As a key leader in our housekeeping department, you'll oversee daily operations during weekend mornings, ensuring all areas meet our quality benchmarks while fostering a positive and efficient work atmosphere. Must be able to work with individuals with various disabilities.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff during the first shift on weekends, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Monitor cleaning activities across guest rooms, public spaces, laundry areas, and back-of-house facilities to maintain impeccable standards
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety compliance, and proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and laundry items, placing orders when necessary to prevent shortages
- Support staff by providing guidance, feedback, and motivation to foster a collaborative team environment
- Address guest concerns related to cleanliness promptly and professionally, escalating issues when needed
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within hospitality or hotel environments
- Demonstrated supervising or management experience in housekeeping or custodial teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, laundry operations, and hotel housekeeping standards
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy weekend shifts
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and guests alike in a professional manner
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
