Our family is looking for a kind, reliable helper to support us with childcare and light household duties.
We’re ideally looking for someone who:
- Is caring, trustworthy, and dependable
- Has hands-on experience caring for young infants, either professionally or through significant personal caregiving experience
- Has experience with newborns and young babies
- Enjoys engaging with babies and supporting their development
- Has strong cleaning and home organization skills
- Is confident and experienced with infant care, including diaper changes, bottle feeding, burping, soothing, bathing, tummy time, and supporting healthy development
- Is comfortable around dogs (we have a small, friendly Shihpoo) and willing to help occasionally with taking the dog out
- Reliable transportation preferred
- References preferred
- Is up to date on recommended vaccinations for working around infants
Language Preference:
- Haitian Kreyol speakers are strongly encouraged to apply. English is not required for fluent Kreyol speakers, and we welcome Kreyol-speaking caregivers to speak Kreyol with our child to support native language development and cultural connection.
- Fluent Spanish-speaking caregivers are also welcome to apply to help expose our child to the Spanish language. Applicants who are fluent in Spanish must be able to communicate comfortably in English or Haitian Kreyol with the parents.
Responsibilities:
- Providing attentive infant care, including diaper changes, bottle feeding, burping, soothing, bathing, tummy time, developmental play, and helping settle baby for naps
- Engaging with baby through reading, talking, singing, tummy time, and age-appropriate developmental activities
- Supervising baby while parents work, attend to household tasks, attend appointments, and take breaks
- Washing bottles, pump parts, and baby feeding supplies
- Baby laundry and helping with parents’ laundry
- Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen tidy
- Light housekeeping (tidying common areas, wiping surfaces, and maintaining an organized home)
- Organizing and maintaining different areas of the home (pantry, closets, nursery, etc.)
- Helping keep the household running smoothly throughout the day
- Occasionally helping feed and take the dog out.

We’re looking for someone who can be an extra set of hands and bring a calm, supportive presence into our home.
Location: Cary, NC
Start Date: July 6, 2026
Compensation: $13–$15/hour depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM (approximately 4 hours per day) to start. Additional hours may become available in the future depending on our family’s needs.
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
