Job Summary
A direct hire opportunity is available for a Sr Quality Engineer in Carson City, NV, supporting aerospace and defense manufacturing operations with a focus on machining, inspection, quality control, and turbine engine repair processes. This role is ideal for an experienced quality professional who enjoys leading inspection teams, maintaining compliance with aerospace quality standards, and partnering closely with production to ensure safe, accurate, and customer-focused results.
The Sr Quality Engineer will supervise quality control, inspection, and non-destructive testing operations while helping drive continuous improvement, documentation accuracy, and strong cross-functional teamwork. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise inspection, quality control, and NDT operations, including receiving inspection, final inspection, calibration, metallurgical lab, and related inspection areas.
- Coordinate work assignments and resource coverage for inspection operations in partnership with production teams.
- Review shop travelers, documentation, quality records, and document control requirements for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure employee testing, certifications, cross-training, safety standards, and housekeeping expectations are maintained.
- Support compliance with Quality Systems Manual requirements, AS/ISO standards, repair station requirements, and applicable quality procedures.
- Promote continuous improvement, lean principles, teamwork, customer service, and a high standard of quality performance across the department.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 per year.
