Bob’s Heating and Air Conditioning is hiring for the position of HVAC Service Manager.
The Service Manager position will ensure the development and training of field technicians to meet technical requirements, and established standards processes, while promoting a safe work environment. This role helps evaluate service problems, respond to customer inquiries and make strategic recommendations, review quotes for major repairs, and resolve technical issues. The Service Manager will work with dispatchers and operations team to ensure smooth service and maintenance scheduling and operation issues.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines office based management responsibilities with regular field involvement. The Service Manager will conduct site visits, provide real time coaching, training, and mentorship to field technicians, support technical troubleshooting in the field, and interact directly with customers to ensure service excellence and strengthen customer relationships.

You have a proven track record of leading and developing field service technicians, building strong customer relationships, and providing quality assurance. You are comfortable working both in the office and in the field, supporting technicians through onsite coaching and technical guidance while serving as a trusted resource for customers. As a leader, you foster excellent communication with team members and customers.

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive wages of $105,000 - $125,000 annually

Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Hire, train and retain excellent technicians for your division.
- Conduct regular field visits to observe technician performance, provide hands on training, coaching, and mentorship, and reinforce company standards and best practices.
- Serve as a technical resource for service technicians by assisting with complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate technician performance, identify training opportunities, and develop plans to improve technical skills and overall effectiveness.
- Foster growth, high performance, and positive teamwork in division
- Manage service technicians depending on workload
- Manage certifications and licenses for your team
- Schedule techs, assign duties and work with dispatch coordinators to ensure coverage
- Take care of customer satisfaction items as needed, resolve issues promptly
- Manage Inventory
- Process paperwork for division – timecards, billing, service paperwork etc.
- Develop systems and processes which support the continued success of the division
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all installations.
Qualifications
Education, Licenses, and Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 06A or 06B Electrical License required
- Nate Certification
- Generac generators
- Valid WA State driver’s license with a clean driving record
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
- 5 years industry experience – supervisory experience preferred
- Proven leadership in HVAC Service or similar
- Federal, Washington State, and local HVAC codes and regulations
- Industry Wide Diagnostic Ability on systems and components
- Aggressive, motivated, self-starter who is passionate about their work.
- Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook
- Strong oral communication skills; able to have a well-structured conversation at executive level.
- Ability to direct and manage team to produce successful outcome
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks successfully.
- Ability to perform well in a constantly changing environment.
