We're building a premium exterior care company focused on doing exceptional work and developing exceptional people.
We're looking for an experienced window cleaner to become the lead of our growing window-cleaning operation. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll clean windows yourself, help establish our standards, train new technicians, help recruit and evaluate future window cleaners, and eventually take responsibility for leading a small team.
You don't need to know everything on day one. But you should already understand the fundamentals of professional window cleaning and take pride in doing things correctly.
The Role
As Head Window Cleaning Technician, you'll be responsible for helping us build the window-cleaning side of the company from the ground up.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform high-quality residential window cleaning, inside and out
- Clean screens, tracks, sills, and other window details
- Work safely and confidently on ladders and around difficult-access windows
- Help establish and maintain our standards for window-cleaning quality
- Train new window-cleaning technicians in techniques, equipment, safety, and customer service
- Work alongside new technicians in the field until they can perform independently
- Help recruit and evaluate potential window-cleaning hires
- Provide feedback on technician performance and identify training needs
- Help develop better systems, checklists, and workflows for window cleaning
- Inspect completed work and help ensure jobs meet our quality standards
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and represent the company well
- Care for window-cleaning equipment, tools, vehicles, and supplies
- Assist with other exterior services when needed, including soft washing, gutters, roof cleaning, and seasonal services
- Help identify additional services or maintenance opportunities when appropriate
What We're Looking For
Window-cleaning experience is required.
We're looking for someone who has already spent time cleaning windows and understands the basics of professional work.
You should have:
- Experience with residential window cleaning
- Familiarity with traditional squeegee-and-mop techniques
- Experience using or willingness to learn water-fed pole systems
- Comfort working from ladders and handling difficult-access windows
- Strong attention to detail
- A high standard for the quality of your own work
- A dependable work ethic and reliable attendance
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- The ability to lift, carry, and operate cleaning equipment
- Professional communication skills with homeowners
- The ability to teach patiently and clearly
- Good judgment and a strong sense of responsibility
We're less concerned with having a perfect résumé than with finding someone who knows how to clean windows, cares about the result, and wants to become a leader.
Leadership & Growth
This position is intended to grow with the company.
As our window-cleaning operation expands, you'll have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility for:
- Recruiting new window cleaners
- Training and onboarding technicians
- Establishing field standards
- Leading technicians in the field
- Quality control
- Equipment and supply management
- Improving production and efficiency
- Helping develop scheduling and operational systems
- Eventually overseeing a dedicated window-cleaning team
The goal is not simply to make you the person who cleans the most windows.
The goal is to make you the person who builds the team that cleans them.
Why Work With Us?
- Lead role in a growing exterior care company
- Paid training and ongoing development
- Opportunity to help build the window-cleaning operation
- Direct involvement with the company founder
- Clear path toward greater leadership responsibility
- Performance-based compensation growth
- Potential use of a company work truck
- Opportunity to learn additional exterior services
- Work on high-quality residential properties
- A company culture built around craftsmanship, professionalism, and stewardship
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, we want you to become someone we can rely on to:
- Produce excellent window-cleaning work independently
- Train a new technician to our standards
- Recognize and correct quality issues
- Help us recruit strong people
- Improve the way our window-cleaning operation works
- Eventually lead technicians without needing constant supervision
If you're looking for a place to simply show up, clean windows, and go home, this probably isn't the right position.
If you want to master the trade, build a team, and grow into a leadership role, we'd like to hear from you.
