Position Summary
The Shop Mechanic services and maintains the Company fleet of gas and diesel vehicles and its small engine equipment. The role troubleshoots and repairs engines, performs preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, maintains accurate service records, and coordinates with other mechanics, field supervisors, and management to keep equipment available and safe for daily operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and conduct repairs on gas and diesel engines.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Clean and apply lubricants to all mechanical components.
- Communicate with other mechanics, field supervisors, and management as needed.
- Follow established Company procedures.
- Work independently when required.
- Keep logs of work performed.

Knowledge and Experience
- Required: Prior experience as a Mechanic in a shop environment.
- ASE Certification is preferred.
Schedule and Work Requirements
- Regular hours are 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (Other shifts also available)
- Saturdays may be required during peak seasons.
- Work during snowstorms is required.

Physical Requirements
- May stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods of time.
- May lift, carry, push, or pull tools, parts, and equipment.
- Works in a shop environment with exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and outdoors in seasonal weather conditions as needed.
