Job Summary: The primary function of the General Utility Worker position is to clean and sanitize all dining utensils, food storage areas, and work areas to maintain the health and safety standards of the facility and increase overall customer satisfaction. General Utility Workers need to be cross-trained for the following responsibilities: Stock Worker, Beverage Station Associate, and Table Attendant.
Starting Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Available Shift: Monday-Friday 5:30 AM-2:00 PM
General Utility Worker Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize all pots, pans, utensils and all service ware after use
-
Responsible for proper use of all equipment, specifically cleaning, loading and unloading the dishwasher

Stock, organize, and maintain utensils, pots, pans, and all service ware in the kitchen during and after meal production

Follow food and service ware safety standards at all times
-
Clean and sanitize work stations, counters, dish belt, floors, and equipment while following all departmental regulations and procedures

Clean the drains in the kitchen and dish room
-
Clean, sweep and mop the coolers, freezer, loading areas, kitchen, hallways, and dry storage area
-
Follow Receiving Procedures to confirm accuracy of product and quality of shipment of goods when delivered
-
Properly place product in proper storage room, cooler and/or freezer following FIFO method
-
Communicate with manager when product is low or has expired in date
-
Clean all cabinets, walls, and base boards in the store rooms, refrigerators and freezers
-
Clean and sanitize the bathrooms and lobby (when applicable)
-
Clean all door frames to storage rooms and coolers/freezers
-
Clean the drains in the kitchen
-
Empty all mop buckets, ring out mops, and store them in their proper place
-
Take out all cardboard and trash for the location and deposit it in the appropriate receptacle/dumpster
-
Help complete weekly inventory counts
-
Spot sweep and mop storage areas, back of the house and coolers/freezers
-
Wash out all trash cans before leaving for the night
-
Take all dirty aprons and towels out of their bins and put them in the proper bin for pick up
-
Ensure the dumpster and grease traps are locked
-
Survey the dining area and sweep/mop as needed every 30 minutes to keep the floors clear of any debris
-
Throughout shift clear unused tables, sanitize them, and reset them for customer use
-
Sweep and/or vacuum the dining area at the end of each closing shift
-
Clean and sanitize dirty tables and chairs daily
-
Clean and refill napkin dispensers and condiments
-
Sanitize counters, cabinet facings, and sneeze guards
-
Place chairs around tables in a neat and orderly fashion
-
Clean all dining room windows at least twice a week
-
Empty the trash in the dining area and dispose of waste in the proper receptacles
-
Maintain up to date marketing materials in the dining room area, as specified by management
-
Report safety hazards discovered in the location to management immediately

Involves working with chemicals, heated equipment, steam and at other risk conditions
General Utility Worker Additional Job Functions:

Stock inventory shipments and help complete weekly inventory counts

Assist in other areas as needed

Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the management team

Transports lunch deliveries
Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct supervisory responsibilities
General Utility Worker Required Qualifications:

Must have a valid drivers license

Able to effectively communicate and understand directions

Able to understand safety rules, Alcohol Regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures

Willing to perform a variety of tasks as assigned

Good communication skills and organizational skills

Interest in self development, willingness to learn, and ability to succeed in a team environment

Successful completion of the Bridgeman Hospitality Hourly Food Handlers training within the first 30 days of employment

Must be willing to follow all Safety Standards
General Utility Worker Desired Qualifications:
