Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Lab Technician to join our vibrant research and development team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to scientific research, quality control, and laboratory operations within a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about laboratory work, adhere to safety standards, and possess strong technical skills to support our ongoing projects.
12hr rotating shift once their training is complete.
Responsibilities
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples following strict laboratory procedures and safety protocols
- Conduct chemical analyses using various laboratory instruments and techniques to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, including data collection, experiment documentation, and test results
- Perform microbiological testing, histology, molecular biology techniques, and cell culture procedures as required for research projects
- Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment such as spectrometers, microscopes, pipettes, and other scientific instruments
- Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance
- Support laboratory safety initiatives by adhering to chemical handling safety procedures and sterile techniques
Experience
- Proven industrial laboratory experience with a strong understanding of laboratory techniques in chemistry or related fields
- Familiarity with GLP, CGMP, FDA regulations, microbiology, histology, molecular biology, and veterinary terminology preferred
- Experience in research settings involving chemical handling safety procedures and analysis skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite for data entry and report generation
- Strong record-keeping skills with meticulous attention to detail in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or similar platforms
- Hands-on experience with laboratory research involving microbiology, cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and analysis of scientific data
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining high standards of laboratory safety and compliance
