Primary Purpose of Position
The Marketing Technology Manager is responsible for developing marketing and technology strategies and implementing marketing efforts for Digital and Professional Learning, including websites, marketing automation, and analytics.
Websites: The position will support the development and maintenance of the unit’s web presence, including the development of new web pages on the WordPress platform and lead governance and upkeep on existing DPL websites. The position will assist with the migration of websites currently on the Drupal CMS platform to WordPress.
Marketing Automation: The position will deliver marketing automation as the administrator of our marketing automation tool (Salesforce Marketing Cloud or SFMC), including one-off email campaigns and orchestrating automated communication journeys.
Analytics: This position will help to measure the effectiveness and results of executed campaigns through analytical tools such as Google Analytics (GA4) and Salesforce.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Essential Job Duties
Serve as the primary point of contact for website development requests, website updates, email marketing campaigns, and marketing automation initiatives. Coordinate project activities from planning through implementation, including stakeholder communication, testing, deployment, and optimization.

Provide strategic marketing consultation and recommendations to internal and external partners. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships that support enrollment growth, audience engagement, and the successful execution of Digital and Professional Learning marketing initiatives.

Develop, implement, and optimize digital marketing strategies using customer research, market trends, competitor analysis, and performance data. Analyze campaign, website, and email metrics to evaluate effectiveness and support data-driven decision-making.

Collaborate with Marketing and Communications team members, OneIT, Business Operations, and other University stakeholders to support marketing technology solutions, reporting needs, software integrations, content management, and marketing project execution.

- Ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of digital communications by reviewing and proofreading website and email content, maintaining compliance with University branding standards, and contributing to strategic planning and continuous improvement efforts.
Other Work Responsibilities
Stays current on the digital marketing/ marketing technology landscape to ensure that the MarComm team can support best-in-class strategies for upcoming initiatives. Participate in University communication meetings as assigned.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining websites within a content management system (CMS), including CSS customization, theme development, and responsive web design.
- Professional certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or another recognized marketing automation platform, or demonstrated proficiency through relevant training and professional experience.
- Professional certification in Google Analytics or a comparable analytics platform, or demonstrated proficiency in web analytics and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and optimizing automated marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, customer journey development, responsive HTML email creation, and campaign performance measurement.
- Demonstrated experience integrating and leveraging CRM, CMS, marketing automation, and analytics platforms to support lead generation, enrollment marketing, reporting, and data-informed decision-making.
