We are seeking CNAs, who are motivated, knowledgeable and experienced in the eldercare/geriatrics. The goal for this position is to provide hands on care for our clients in the Hartford, CT Area.
Qualifications:
- Prior CNA experience
- Fluency in another language is preferred but not limited (Spanish)
Job Description
Provide direct personal care, basic clinical monitoring, and daily living assistance to patients in their private residences under a nurse's supervision. Key duties include assisting with personal hygiene, recording vital signs, and helping with mobility.
Core Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Help patients bathe, dress, groom, and use the bathroom.
- Clinical Tasks: Check and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Mobility Support: Transfer patients safely between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs, and help with walking.
- Nutrition: Prepare meals, feed patients, and monitor fluid and food intake.
- Environment and Support: Maintain a safe home environment, do light housekeeping, and provide companionship.
- Reporting: Observe changes in physical or mental health and report them to a registered nurse
Required Skills and Experience
Knowledgeable and experienced in the home care
Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Certification: Active state CNA license or certification.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Skills: Physical stamina to lift patients, clear communication skills, and empathy.
- Transport: Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance for travel to client homes.
