Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/FNP) – Bronx, NY
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Part-Time | 2 Days per week | 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Compensation: $90/hour
We are seeking a compassionate, confident, and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Bronx on a part-time basis. This position provides care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and we are looking for a provider who is comfortable working with this population.
While prior OPWDD experience is not required, candidates must be confident, patient-centered, and committed to providing high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric and/or primary care conditions within scope of practice
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities
Qualifications
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner License
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) required
- Comfortable and confident caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and interpersonal skills
