Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced PRN Radiologic Technologist (Independent Contractor) to support outpatient vascular and endovascular procedures at our Bullhead City, Arizona location. This position is ideal for a technologist experienced with mobile C-arm fluoroscopy who is looking for flexible supplemental work approximately one to two procedural days per month.
Experience in vascular, interventional radiology, cath lab, pain management, orthopedic, or surgical procedures is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a mobile C-arm fluoroscopy unit during vascular and endovascular procedures while maintaining optimal image quality.
- Assist physicians during minimally invasive procedures by anticipating imaging needs and adjusting fluoroscopic views as directed.
- Ensure radiation safety practices are followed for patients and staff, including proper use of shielding and ALARA principles.
- Perform equipment setup, daily operational checks, and basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
- Prepare the procedure room and assist with patient positioning to obtain optimal imaging.
- Maintain sterile technique and work effectively within the sterile field when appropriate.
- Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain required records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and procedural staff to provide safe, efficient, high-quality patient care.
- Follow established policies and procedures, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Radiologic Technologist license (if applicable) and current ARRT certification required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a C-arm in a procedural or surgical setting.
- Experience in vascular, interventional radiology, cath lab, endovascular, or cardiovascular procedures preferred.
- Strong understanding of fluoroscopic imaging, radiation safety, and sterile technique.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient procedural environment.
Schedule & Compensation
- PRN / Independent Contractor (1099)
- Approximately 1–2 procedural days per month, based on physician schedule and patient volume.
- Flexible scheduling with advance notice whenever possible.
- Competitive daily contract compensation based on experience and qualifications.
