REPORTS TO: Marketing Director
POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for supporting the organization’s marketing and outreach efforts by building and maintaining relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, and community partners. Serves as a representative of the organization in the community to promote services and support patient referrals.
Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other referral sources. Responds promptly and professionally to inquiries, requests, and concerns.
Participates in marketing activities, including facility visits, community events, and outreach initiatives to increase awareness of services. Communicates effectively with internal team members to support coordination of care and ensure a smooth referral process.
Maintains knowledge of services, eligibility criteria, and payer sources to accurately communicate information to patients, families, and partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in health care or marketing, preferably in hospice care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements and restrictions in hospice services.
- Demonstrated supervisory and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, flexibility, assertiveness, and team orientation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
1. Directs marketing operations and establishes and implements marketing initiatives.
2. Negotiates contracts with managed care companies, government agencies and other payers that ensure optimal reimbursement.
3. Establishes systems for consistent market assessment and develops a marketing plan designed to meet agency goals.
4. Establishes and maintains mutually beneficial working relationships with current and potential referral sources and payers.
5. Negotiates pricing with insurance case managers and other payers within acceptable standards of practice.
6. Participates in budget development for the department and establishes allocations. Monitors use of resources within budget limitations.
7. Recruits, hires, orients and manages members of the marketing team.
8. Participates with management team in strategic planning activities, identifying opportunities to improve services and better meet customer needs.
9. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Agency’s markets, key referral sources, and position in the market related to competitors.
10. Develops and maintains information on available community resources, and assists customers and staff in accessing services or information.
11. Participates in annual Agency evaluation in areas of marketing, program development, growth and expectations.
12. Prepares reports of marketing activities and effectiveness.
13. Works collaboratively with clinical staff to assure consistent message to the customers and the community.
14. Other activities as directed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
