Urgent Hiring for Receiving Clerks!!
Location: Danbury, CT
Position type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Pay Range: $26–$31/hr.
This position is a 1st shift position, with hours being Monday through Friday, 7 am – 4 pm. Training will be on the 1st shift.
Job Summary
A leading flavor and fragrance manufacturing company is seeking a dependable Receiving Clerk for a 1st shift opportunity in Danbury, CT. This role is ideal for candidates with warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or logistics experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strong attention to detail and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
- Prepare outgoing shipments for postal or commercial carriers
- Package materials securely to ensure safe transport and delivery
- Prepare bills of lading and shipping documentation
- Maintain shipping and receiving records, reports, and database entries
- Handle materials in compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Perform sampling and process customer return shipments
- Operate pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts as needed
- Support warehouse organization and housekeeping activities
- Assist with transporting raw materials between facilities when required
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Less than 1 year of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or related experience preferred
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and receiving processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to complete paperwork, perform data entry, and maintain records accurately
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software
- Understanding of weights, measures, and inventory handling
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift experience preferred
- CDL license is a plus
- Experience working in a manufacturing or regulated environment is beneficial
