SAFETY COORDINATOR – ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR
Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation's premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for a Safety Coordinator that will cover project from San Antonio to Austin, Texas.
Safety Coordinator Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly rate for the Safety Coordinator is $35 - $40 per hour, depending on experience.

Safety Coordinator Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administer company safety policies for all Austin and San Antonio project sites
- Conduct weekly project inspections to identify and mitigate hazards
- Provide new hire orientation and safety training to employees
- Deliver specialized safety training for equipment
- Procure and manage PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Maintain records of safety training and compliance documentation
- Assist in implementing and distributing safety tailgate meetings
- Conduct safety orientation for new employees
- First Aid & CPR training of personnel
- Coordinate with General Contractors' safety personnel on job sites
- Monitor and enforce compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain safety records and documentation in Procore
- Travel to Austin and San Antonio sites as needed (San Antonio typically once per week or as needed)
- Support corporate safety director as requested
Safety Coordinator Qualifications:
- Safety experience in construction preferred (any level of experience considered)
- OSHA 30 certification required
- First Aid & CPR certification required
- Construction experience preferred (residential, commercial, industrial, or electrical)
- Working knowledge of construction safety practices
- Proficiency with Procore software
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office
- Clean driving record required (company truck provided)
- Organized, motivated, and looking for long-term employment
- Willing to travel between Austin and San Antonio as needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce safety protocols
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
Preferred but Not Necessary:
- OSHA 500/510 certifications
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Electrical trade experience
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, or Environmental Applied Science
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E and arc flash safety standards
- Previous safety coordinator or safety officer experience
Work Environment:
- Hourly position with standard 40-hour week
- Overtime as needed for after-hours and weekend shutdowns
- Based in Austin office with regular travel to San Antonio
- Sole safety presence in market with interaction from corporate safety director
