*Per Diem Position*
Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) following surgery or procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs, oxygen levels, and pain levels
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Assess patients' physical and emotional well-being and provide appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition from the operating room to the PACU
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions and potential complications
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a PACU or similar setting
- Proficient in specimen collection processing and handling
- Strong knowledge of hospital policies and procedures related to patient care
- Understanding of human physiology and its impact on patient recovery
- Familiarity with medical coding and documentation practices
- Experience with dermal fillers administration is a plus
- Knowledge of neonatal ventilator management for pediatric patients is preferred
- Previous experience in senior care or nursing home settings is advantageous
- In-depth knowledge of infection control protocols and practices
