Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly experienced RN Director of Nursing Services to lead our nursing department with professionalism, compassion, and strategic oversight. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in nursing administration within assisted living, nursing home, home health, or hospice care settings. As the Director of Nursing Services, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster a culture of excellence in resident care. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and resident satisfaction.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive leadership and supervision for nursing staff across all shifts, ensuring effective nurse management and team development.
- Develop, review, and implement care plans tailored to residents' individual needs, incorporating best practices in physiology and anatomy knowledge.
- Oversee the management of medical records and documentation review processes to ensure accuracy, compliance with HIPAA regulations, and proper use of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations, including Medicare requirements and documentation standards for reimbursement purposes.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality resident care while managing shift operations efficiently.
- Monitor clinical performance metrics such as MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments to optimize resident outcomes and regulatory compliance.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives related to medical records management, documentation review, and care plan accuracy.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes leadership development among nursing staff while emphasizing the importance of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology proficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in nursing home administration or senior care management within assisted living or hospice environments.
- Extensive background in nursing including acute care, home health, or home care settings.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with strong nurse management skills and a track record of effective team leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and the principles of nursing practice.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and EHR systems used for documentation review and medical records management.
- Strong understanding of Medicare regulations and reimbursement processes related to long-term care facilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across shift management responsibilities.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
