Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 5 Axis Mill Turn Machinist to fulfill contracts. Clean environment, fully airconditioned shop and cafeteria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and milling machines using Okuma controls and Mastercam programming software
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment and tooling
- Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for machining operations
- Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure parts meet specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards
Requirements
- 5+ Years experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and lathes (preferably Okuma control systems)
- Must be able to draft in CAD software such as Fusion or SolidWorks
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, mechanical principles, and manufacturing processes
- Mastercam 2025 programming skills
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, hand tools, power tools, and machine maintenance
