Registered Nurse (RN) – Mobile Home Health Nurse (Independent Contractor | 1099)

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing mobile nursing team. This is a 1099 independent contractor position that offers the flexibility to create your own schedule while providing high-quality, one-on-one care to patients in the comfort of their homes.
As a Mobile RN, you will perform nursing assessments, venipuncture, laboratory specimen collection, and subcutaneous (SubQ) injections while following individualized care plans. Medications and nursing supplies are coordinated through our partnering pharmacy and delivered directly to the patient's home prior to each visit.
This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong phlebotomy skills who enjoy working independently and building meaningful relationships with patients.
Responsibilities
- Travel to patients' homes for scheduled nursing visits.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and evaluate patient status.
- Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens.
- Administer subcutaneous (SubQ) injections according to physician orders and individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients during and after nursing procedures and identify any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
- Properly label, handle, and transport laboratory specimens to designated laboratories.
- Independently coordinate and schedule patient appointments.
- Accurately document assessments, treatments, interventions, and patient communications.
- Communicate patient updates, concerns, and changes in condition to nursing management and the ordering provider.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance, infection control standards, and patient safety at all times.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy and care coordination team to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Strong venipuncture and phlebotomy skills required.
- Previous experience in home health, infusion therapy, mobile nursing, outpatient nursing, or similar clinical settings preferred.
- Experience administering injections.
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid California driver's license.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
