Duties
- Operate industrial laundry machines, including dryers and washers, to process linens, towels, and guest clothing efficiently.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of laundry materials, ensuring proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean linens and materials for timely distribution throughout the property.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, storage rooms, and surrounding facilities by performing routine cleaning tasks.
- Handle materials safely according to established safety standards in production environments.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties such as cleaning guest rooms, corridors, and public areas as needed.
- Follow safety protocols during all tasks, including proper use of equipment and handling of potentially hazardous materials like dry cleaning chemicals.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, laundry operations, or hospitality environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of laundry equipment operation, including industrial dryers and dry cleaning processes.
- Ability to handle heavy loads safely with manual handling techniques that prevent injury.
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production settings to ensure a secure work environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in sorting and folding linens.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Experience working in hotel or similar service industries is a plus.
