Scope:
The School of Health, Life Sciences & Education in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in Forensic Biology.
Principal Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a broadly trained forensic scientist interested in teaching lecture and laboratory courses in one or more of the following areas: toxicology, forensic microscopy, forensic physical methods, pharmacology, DNA analysis, or drug chemistry. The successful candidate will also offer versatility in teaching or co-teaching other undergraduate biology courses. Ohio Northern University faculty teach 23-25 credit hours per academic year. Required Skills:
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive pedagogical strategies that engage today’s students, experience with contemporary and traditional laboratory techniques, strong interpersonal skills, and the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience in directing undergraduate research and with expertise to teach forensic science, in addition to other biological content areas, are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Forensic Science, Biology, or a related discipline is required. An ABD will be considered if all degree requirements are completed before September 1, 2026.
