Job Description
Douglas Parking is looking to hire 2 full-time and 2 part-time Valet Parking Attendants for a location in Dallas, Texas.
The attendant will act as a site ambassador, in addition to traditional valet and parking attendant duties. The hours of operation are seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Qualified applicants must have a valid TX driver's license and have been an experienced driver for at least 5 years. Must have the ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle (stick shift).
We are looking for a customer-oriented team member. You will act as a liaison, provide information and resolve any emerging problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency. The best candidates are genuinely excited to help customers. They’re patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. They can put themselves in their customers’ shoes and advocate for them when necessary. Customer feedback is priceless, and receiving this feedback will be imperative. Problem-solving should come naturally. Work well in teams and on their own and are confident at troubleshooting and investigating if they don’t have enough information to resolve customer complaints. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Below is a brief description of duties and responsibilities:
· Responsible for assisting all guests entering and exiting the location.
Opening doors and greeting patrons. Must have the ability to efficiently park a vehicle in in designated spaces.
· Must be skilled at moving and parking vehicles in a confined facility and able to quickly retrieve vehicles.
· Attendants may also be required to perform essential maintenance and repair functions throughout the facility, such as parking equipment preventative maintenance, general cleaning, and completion of daily environmental safety checklists.
· Communicate clearly and effectively with client, fellow staff and patrons in a courteous manner.
· Ability to stand for periods of 4 hours or more and run when necessary.
· Manage and track incoming and outgoing of vehicles.
· Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction.
· Meet personal/customer service team targets.
· Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure the resolution.
· Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
· Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
- Familiarity with technology (computer literate and radio etiquette)
- High school diploma is required
- Must comply with the Company’s Drug and Impairment Testing Policy as a condition of employment.
- Employment requires the ability to obtain and maintain airport security credentials, including completion of TSA and DFW Airport screening and background check requirements.
