Residential Electrical Service Technician / Installer
Expected Total Compensation: $65,000–$175,000+ per year
A growing, established electrical contractor in the Davis, Dixon, Vacaville, Fairfield area is looking for an experienced Residential Electrical Service Technician / Installer to join our team.
We need someone who can troubleshoot electrical problems, perform clean installations, communicate confidently with homeowners, and take ownership of each job from arrival through completion.
This is not a position for someone who needs to be constantly supervised. We are looking for a professional electrician who takes pride in their work, understands customer service, and wants the opportunity to earn based on their experience, performance, and drive. We do NOT put a limit to the amount you can make.
What You’ll Do
- Perform residential electrical service, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations
- Diagnose problems involving panels, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, GFCIs, AFCIs, dedicated circuits, and home wiring
- Install EV chargers, generators, batteries, surge protection, lighting, electrical panels, and other residential electrical equipment
- Perform panel upgrades, service changes, circuit additions, and electrical safety repairs
- Explain electrical issues and available options to homeowners in clear, simple terms
- Identify additional safety concerns and recommend appropriate repairs or upgrades
- Prepare accurate job notes, material lists, photos, and customer recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
- Follow NEC requirements, company procedures, and all applicable safety standards
- Help create long-term customers—not just complete one-time service calls

What We’re Looking For (if you have some, but not all-still apply)
- At least 3 years of residential electrical experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with residential service work and installations
- Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable discussing repair and upgrade options with homeowners
- Clean, professional appearance and attitude
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass applicable background and employment screening
- California electrical certification strongly preferred
- Experience with EV chargers, generators, solar, batteries, or service upgrades is a big plus
- Some sales, or upsell experience is also a big plus

Compensation
Expected total compensation is $65,000–$175,000+ annually, depending on:
- Electrical experience
- Troubleshooting ability
- Installation skills
- Productivity
- Customer communication
- Ability to identify and present legitimate repair and upgrade options
- Reliability, attitude, and overall performance
