Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting the development and care of children in a nurturing environment, ensuring their safety, engagement, and learning. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess classroom management skills, and be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere for young learners. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to children's growth while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones and curriculum standards
- Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development through engaging activities and positive interactions
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment following health and safety regulations
- Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities as needed
- Support behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and other caregiving duties for infants and toddlers
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities
- Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience in preschool, daycare, or early childhood education settings preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle multiple children simultaneously
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive demeanor with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Relevant background in childcare, babysitting, nannying, or working with students is advantageous
- Commitment to creating a safe, nurturing space that promotes learning through play and exploration
Pay: $3,000.00 - $3,800.00 per month
