Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging product demos
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and receipt issuance
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to enhance product visibility and appeal
- Conduct regular stock checks, inventory management, and restocking to ensure product availability
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, offering upselling opportunities, and fostering loyalty
- Uphold all legal regulations and store policies related to age verification, product storage, and safety standards
- Assist with basic retail math calculations for sales transactions and inventory counts
- Support team supervision by mentoring new staff and maintaining a positive work environment
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales processes
- Supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail or customer service setting
- Ability to conduct engaging product demos confidently and clearly explain product benefits
- Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to handle inquiries professionally
- Strong upselling techniques combined with merchandising expertise to maximize sales opportunities
- Experience in stocking, inventory management, and retail math calculations
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
- Familiarity with grocery store operations or similar retail environments is advantageous
