Sales Representative — Direct Mail Organization
We’re looking for a motivated, relationship-focused Sales Representative with an entrepreneurial mindset to grow new business for our direct mail organization. In this role, you’ll prospect new clients, build relationships, present direct mail solutions, and close sales from first contact through follow-up.
What You’ll Do
· Prospect and develop new business opportunities.
· Present direct mail solutions for lead generation, customer retention, fundraising, and promotions.
· Build relationships with business owners, agencies, nonprofits, and marketing decision-makers.
· Coordinate with internal production, data, printing, mailing, and customer service teams to ensure successful campaign delivery.
· Stay informed about direct mail trends, postal regulations, and print production capabilities.
What We’re Looking For
· Sales experience preferred, especially in direct mail, print, marketing services, advertising, media, or B2B sales.
· Strong prospecting, communication, presentation, and closing skills.
· Ability to prepare quotes, proposals, and professional follow-up.
· Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and customer-focused.
· Familiarity with mailing lists, variable data printing, nonprofit appeals, or promotional mailers.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation includes a $60,000 base salary plus commission.

Responsibilities

- Negotiate terms and close sales efficiently, ensuring mutual satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
- Manage sales administration tasks such as processing orders, updating customer records, and maintaining detailed documentation of interactions.
- Provide comprehensive customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience at every touchpoint.
- Apply analysis skills to evaluate customer feedback and sales data, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to implement promotional strategies that enhance brand visibility and drive benefits administration initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales environments with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities in multiple languages; bilingual candidates are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance products such as health insurance, property casualty insurance, commercial insurance, or HIPAA regulations is a plus.
- Prior sales administration experience demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of insurance regulation, benefits administration, telemarketing techniques, and marketing strategies is advantageous.
- Demonstrated analysis skills for assessing market trends and customer needs to tailor sales approaches effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude.
