Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated OTR Courier Driver! The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and packages efficiently and safely. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will interact with clients during deliveries. The Courier Driver will operate a 26' box truck, manage all required paperwork, and handle heavy lifting as needed. The delivery mileage radius is up to 600 miles. Company will provide fuel card. Driver gets paid 30% of total delivery amount paid to the company. There is not a set hourly rate - pay is based on delivery fee.
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must have a valid driver's license
-Must pass a drug test and background check
-Medical card is required to run under DOT/MC
-No Felonies and No Convictions
- Willing to travel out of state and be away from home when needed (sleep in cab when required)
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26' box truck to deliver packages or pallets to designated locations.
- Load and unload goods (when required), ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in commercial driving, particularly with box trucks.
- Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of goods as needed
- Ability to stay on the road for multiple days at a time
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
