Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join the operations team of a brand-new Class A office building portfolio. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a leading real estate firm, offering hands-on experience in maintaining and optimizing state-of-the-art commercial properties. The role provides significant room for growth within the organization, with exposure to advanced building systems and a collaborative, professional team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot building mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and HVAC systems in a Class A office portfolio.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair on all building systems to ensure optimal performance and tenant satisfaction.
- Monitor and adjust building systems for energy efficiency, safety, and operational compliance.
- Respond to tenant service requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and work orders.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and capital projects.
- Assist with facility inspections, compliance audits, and safety protocols.
- Support the Facilities/Operations Manager with project oversight and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Building Engineer, Facilities Technician, or in a similar role, preferably in commercial office or Class A properties.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and tenant satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
