Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Property Manager specializing in multifamily housing! Duties
- Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination
- Support leasing efforts by showcasing available units, upselling amenities, and processing applications with a focus on customer service excellence
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, and other federal, state, and local housing laws
- Maintain accurate data entry in property management software; manage filing systems and legal administrative documents
- Handle tenant inquiries via phone or in person with professional etiquette; resolve conflicts effectively through negotiation and conflict management skills
- Support lease renewals, contract administration, and legal documentation related to landlord-tenant law
- Assist with property maintenance coordination, vendor communication, and facilities management to uphold property standards
Requirements
- 4+ yrs. experience in comparable role with supervisory/management.
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles; familiarity with multifamily housing preferred
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and landlord-tenant law
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette; ability to upsell amenities and lease units effectively
- Legal administrative experience including contracts, lease agreements, and compliance documentation
- Ability to manage conflict constructively while maintaining positive relationships with residents and vendors
- Strong organizational skills including filing, record keeping, and data management; ability to multitask efficiently
- Valid drivers license & clean driving record
